Hi, I'm Maria Santos
For the past 12 years, I've opened my home and heart to caring for children in our community. With a degree in Early Childhood Education and certifications in infant and toddler development, I create a warm, structured environment where kids feel safe to explore, learn, and grow.
Every child who walks through my door becomes part of our Sunshine family. I believe in play-based learning, consistent routines, and open communication with parents — because when we partner together, children thrive.

Infants
6 weeks – 12 monthsGentle routines, tummy time, sensory play, and individualized feeding and nap schedules in a calm, nurturing environment.
Toddlers
1 – 2 yearsLanguage-rich play, art exploration, music and movement, outdoor time, and early social skills in small group settings.
Preschool
3 – 4 yearsPre-reading, numbers, science exploration, creative arts, and kindergarten readiness through play-based learning.
After-School
5 – 8 yearsHomework help, outdoor adventures, STEM activities, and creative free time in a safe, structured after-school program.

Background Checked
FBI fingerprint and state background checks for all household members, renewed annually.
CPR & First Aid
Current CPR and Pediatric First Aid certification. Emergency action plan posted and practiced.
Secure Environment
Childproofed home, gated play areas, smoke and CO detectors, locked medicine cabinet.
Low Ratios
Maximum 8 children at any time. Individual attention is not a luxury — it's the standard.
Illness Policy
Clear sick child policy. Children must be symptom-free for 24 hours before returning.
